The goal of the MGS Education and Outreach Committee is to actively promote all aspects of genealogy for beginners and more experienced searchers. Volunteers are available to come to individual organizations to give presentations on topics of your choice e.g School Inservices (SAGE), presentations at Seniors Centres, etc. Committee members also attend various community events to provide information about starting family research and what MGS can offer. The Committee assists with two annual Open House events held at the MGS Resource Centre.
If you or your group are interested in learning more about Genealogy, a knowledgeable member of the Manitoba Genealogical Society could give a presentation on a topic of your choice. Please contact the Education and Outreach Chair at outreach@mbgenealogy.com to discuss what you would like to present. We try to accommodate as many requests as possible.
