Généalogie Franco-Manitobaine

Jean-Pierre Noël du Centre du patrimoine présente les ressources disponibles pour les gens intéressés à rechercher leurs racines Franco-Manitobaines et créer leur arbre généalogique. La session expliquera les normes de la recherche généalogique en passant par la loi sur la protection de la vie privée pour ensuite parler de la fiabilité des sources disponibles. Une liste des sources acceptables sera expliquée. Il y aura aussi une démonstration des ressources disponibles sur le web.

Sir Hugh John Macdonald’s Winnipeg: a downtown walking tour with Ron Robinson

Take a walk with Sir Hugh John Macdonald from his home at Dalnavert to the Millennium Library. En route, Sir Hugh will introduce you to the many downtown sites that touched his life and continue to play a role in Winnipeg’s urban setting. At the Millennium Library, the tour will wrap up in the Local History Room where participants will learn how to find out more about the people, places, and history that surrounds us every day.

Duration: 70 minutes.
Place:  Meet at Dalnavert, 61 Carlton Street on the veranda. Tour will proceed rain or shine, so prepare for inclement weather.
