OPEN CALL FOR SILENT AUCTION ITEMS
MGS is planning for a major fundraising event this year— a Silent Auction. We need your support.
We are asking for new and gently used items to create prize packages for this event. How many lovely gifts have you received that you have never used? Never opened? Consider our Silent Auction as the perfect home for these items.
Some creative individuals might prefer to make up an entire basket of goodies along a certain theme. I have two exact same desk lamps gifted to me, so I will create a basket with the one brand new desk lamp still in the box, and add some “desk” items to make up a office desk basket. What things do you have to create something fun?
Maybe you have a hobby with too many hobby crafts to ever use. Consider making up a basket to reflect your hobby, and maybe inspire someone to take up the same hobby.
Are you famous for your canning? How about a prize basket of homemade jams and jelly’s?
Many silent auctions have small appliances and other electronic items donated by individuals and businesses. If you know someone from a business, maybe you can arrange for them to donate an item to us. We do give charitable receipts for new items that have been purchased for our auction. (see our donation policy for details)
Cash donations will go towards creating prize packages.
We aim to go BIG with this fundraiser so, pull out all the stops, and contribute in any way you can.
Items are accepted until September 15, 2023.
The Silent Auction will take place during Culture Days Sept 22 – Oct 15, 2023. As usual, MGS will take part in Culture Days and promote our Silent Auction. We usually have a lot of visitors during this time, so it is a perfect time to solicit ticket sales for the Silent Auction.
