We have a number of periodicals available for use in our library. Some periodicals are digital and others are printed. The digital copies are available for viewing on the Resource Centre’s computers and the current print copies are available for use within the Resource Centre. The printed copy back issues are available for members to either review in the Resource Center or to check out for up to 3 weeks.

Here are a few of the most recent issues:

Anglo-Celtic Roots. This paper periodical is published four times per year by the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa. The Summer 2023 edition contains 3 main articles: Family History Research – Dentures, Watches, Dentures — and Bigamy? An Intriguing Family History; We Shall Remember Them, Captain Lancelot Raimes, 5th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry; Scottish Genealogist’ Essential Books: Where Can we Find Them.

Generations. This paper periodical is published four times per year by the New Brunswick Genealogical Society. The Summer 2023 edition contains over 60 pages of articles and information about New Brunswick history and genealogy. There are 17 articles covering a number of topics, including: the War Diary of Robert Clayton Mooers, part 3 (Parts 1 & 2 are in the back issues); Peter Marshall WW II Glider Pilot, part 1. (Parts 2 & 3 will come in following issues.)

Family Tree Magazine UK. This paper periodical is published monthly by Family Tree Magazine. The July 2023 edition contains a variety of articles including: A History of Ancestors Arriving in Britain; What Does Your DNA Story Mean?; Top Tips on Writing a Genealogy Article; and Investigating Clandestine Marriages.
