MGS has acquired an Epson V600 scanner as an in-house benefit for membership. The Southeast and Winnipeg Branch has arranged for a Scanner Comparison and Hands on Demo presentation by Gord McBean, at the MGS Resource Centre on January 13, 2024 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. This demonstration is for SE & Winnipeg Branch members by limited registration only. All spaces are now full but you can ask to be placed on a waiting list in the event of a cancellation. To enhance our services, two new commercial grade scanners were purchased—one for the MGS Resource Centre, and one for the South West Branch of MGS in Brandon. These scanners will be used by MGS members and the public to scan old photographs, original documents, and other genealogical records to ensure they are preserved in a digital format.
