New Periodicals Arrived

We have a number of periodicals available for use in our library. Some periodicals are digital and others are printed. The digital copies are available for viewing on the Resource Centre’s computers and the current print copies are available for use within the Resource Centre. The printed copy back issues are available for members to either review in the Resource Center or to check out for up to 3 weeks.

Here are a few of the most recent issues:

Lambton Lifeline. This digital periodical is published four times a year by the Lambton County Branch OGS. The June 2023 edition contains an article My On-line “Travels” Researching the Family of George Hyde, Lieutenant Royal Navy which contains some information of the George Hyde family and the websites the author utilized to obtain that information. They had a workshop on Wills and Probate files and have published the handout which contains a number of organizations and websites helpful on this topic.

Okanagan Researcher. This digital periodical is published four times a year by the Kelowna & District Genealogical Society. The June 2023 edition contains a number of short articles, including A Saskatchewan Marriage Adventure, The Most Difficult of Our Camps (the Vernon Interment Camp 1914-1920), An Event Which Changed my Life, and several others.

Living Connection. This digital periodical is published six times a year by the Genealogical Association of Nova Scotia. The July / August 2023 edition contains a short article on the Admiral Digby Museum; the Anne Iseno Collection article advising this collection contains over 250 family/vertical file collections, binders, books, publications, directories and scrapbooks and is now available for research.
