The ability to search for birth, marriage and death records in regions now in Poland has enabled research most of us never thought possible. However, to many these resources are a perplexing maze of random searches. Sigrid Pohl Perry’s presentation will provide a brief overview of two primary databases that reveal parish and civil registry records in Poland encompassing many Polish, German and Jewish residents in the 19th – early 20th centuries. This presentation was originally created in 2021 for members of SGGEE as the second session of a 6-part course on navigating various online databases in Poland. The entire course and handout are available in the Members Only section of Convention on the SGGEE website.

Members and SGGEE friends have the first opportunity through June 1 to register using the link below. At this time, we have 100 slots available.

You will receive a confirmation email when you register. Keep this handy as it has the link to join the program. It also has a link to cancel your registration if your plans change. Use that to free up a slot for someone else.
