Cummins maps and aerial photos are two useful resources a genealogist can use to supplement their family history. Marni will explore Cummins maps, a series of land ownership maps from Manitoba created by the Cummins Map Company. This map series is a useful resource for locating a homestead with a legal description. She will also highlight the Air Photo Library of Manitoba, a library housed in Winnipeg that contains 1 million Manitoba land photos. These photos can be used to illustrate how a homestead property developed over the years.
