An INDEX of BIRTH, MARRIAGE & DEATH NOTICES FROM MANITOBA NEWSPAPERS Volume 3 (1885)
This book lists all the birth, marriage and death notices from Manitoba newspapers for 1885. It references the name and date of the newspaper in which the entry can be found. It takes it’s information from 26 different newspapers from the Birtle Observer to the Winnipeg Siftings. For the genealogist, this index lets you know where to look for your family information. This list is from all the available English and French language newspapers published in Manitoba in 1885.
The book contains five pages of abbreviations for names of newspapers, family relationships, religious abbreviations, occupations and land/geographical abbreviations as well as standard province and state abbreviations. There is one map showing where the provincial boundaries were and a map of Canada giving the names of various regions of Canada. There are a few photos scatter throughout the book at the head of each section. Please see the Table of Contents image for more detail.
