Annual Resource Link Update

When we think of online genealogy records, most people immediately think of Ancestry or FamilySearch or MyHeritage.  But there are literally thousands of great places online where you can look for genealogical records in Manitoba, or Canada, or the world.  MGS has three (3) resource link pages, and we update them annually and now is the time!

We need YOUR favourite websites to add to our list.

Manitoba has not been around that long (1870) and we tend to be able to find information quite quickly since the MGS Resource Centre has so many Manitoba resources.  Then, we need to go elsewhere to research our family.  Mostly, groups of people immigrated together, so most Manitobans tend to have their ancestors come from specific places—so your links will help others find their families.

The MGS Resource Centre has a lot of different resources for other parts of Canada, as well as globally.  Most importantly, we have many members who are experts in researching their particular ethnicity and know many great websites where they can find information.  We have those links on our Resource Links page.

Again, we are asking our members to share their favourite website links with us so we can add them to our Resource Links pages.
