The Manitoba Genealogical Society has transcribed every cemetery in the province of Manitoba that we were given permission to transcribe. All this data resides in the Manitoba Name Index (MANI) and is available at no charge to MGS members as a member benefit. Over time, additions to the database have been made from obituaries and periodic re-audits of a cemetery.
Both members and non-members can purchase cemetery transcripts for any given cemetery. The benefits of this are finding family members you didn’t know about and therefore didn’t search for in the database.
NOTE: Our MANI database of 1.75 million entries is undergoing a software update which will take some time. This is how to order a cemetery transcript.
- You can search for the Manitoba Cemetery you are interested in from one of these two documents:
- Copy the Cemetery Code Number and Cemetery Name that you wish to order. Email that information to the Cemetery Committee [firstname.lastname@example.org] stating you would like to order that cemetery transcript or you want the price of the cemetery transcripts you are interested in. You can order as many cemetery transcripts as you desire.
- We will send you an invoice by email. Once payment has been received a digital PDF copy will be emailed to you.
WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW WHAT CEMETERY MY FAMILY IS BURIED IN?
