About the Author
Elizabeth Briggs was born and educated in Glamorgan, South Wales. Liz has been involved in Genealogy or Family History since the fall of 1976. She has continued her family history research in Winnipeg, Salt Lake City, Brigham Young University, the University of Wales at Aberystwyth and numerous English and Welsh centres. She has traced some branches of her family into the sixteenth century and has shared her knowledge and experience with others. Elizabeth has been an invited speaker to many genealogical seminars and she has contributed to educational and family history journals both in Britain and Canada. Her first publication Handbook for Genealogists is a study guide for people beginning to search their family history.
