National British Home Child Day

For those of you who don’t know, National British Home Child Day is September 28th, in honour of the 100,000 children sent to Canada as indentured farm labourers and domestic servants. As a descendant of one of these children, I am asking you to please consider leaving your outside lights on overnight on the 28th or place a sunflower in your window — the BHC floral emblem.
