August 12, 2023 Gaboury Reunion in Winnipeg
Lecture and Entertainment: “Fur Trade Period in Western Canada” presented by noted historian Dr. Philippe Mailhot.
He will talk about the fur trade in the early 1800s and how Jean-Baptiste Lagimodière and his wife Marie-Anne Gaboury played a part in it. After the lecture there will be traditional Métis music and dancing performed by the Asham Stompers, followed by DJ music. It will be an educational and entertaining evening.
Norwood Community Centre, 87 Walmer St, Winnipeg, MB. 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm)
Admission is $25, payable at the door. Open to the public.
