“Keeping Track of your Family” by Thelma Findlay.

This presentation will provide an overview of how one genealogist maintains her family members’ records. This includes: keeping organized, locating specific family members in her records, finding source information, organizing family photos, and more. Thelma (Wasyluk/Weslak) Findlay has compiled 6,156 family members in her genealogical records, without using a genealogy program.

Beginning Genealogy

Bill Curtis of the Manitoba Genealogical Society will introduce the basics of genealogical research. In Part 1, you will be a family history detective and find clues in a case study. Using these clues, you will learn how to overcome roadblocks to reach your goals. In Part 2, you will learn where to find personal information about individual ancestors both on and off the internet.
