William Morrow INGRAM (1907-1964)

James was born at Minitonas, Manitoba on 10 February 1907. He was the son of Samuel Ingram (1868-1923) and Minnie Caroline Horne (1874-1957).

On 29 December 1930, he married Minnie Bonnar Urquhart (1908-1996) in Swan River and they had four children: Jean, Hazel Ann (1934-2018, wife of Doug Grossart), Jessie Irene (1937-2013, wife of Ellis Williamson) and Wilma.

Educator

James attended Swan River High School, Dauphin Normal School and Central Normal School in Winnipeg. He received his Bachelor of Arts (1960) and Bachelor of Education (1962). He taught school in Ethelbert, Little Woody, Bowsman, Stonewall, Argyle, Isabella, Cardale, Myrtle, Brookdale and Neepawa. During World War II he was with the YMCA at Camp Shilo.

He was a member of the United church and served on the session of the Neepawa United Church. He was also a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters.

He died in Neepawa on 26 September 1964 and was buried in the Marney Cemetery.
