October 2019 Meeting Notice
East European Genealogical Society
FROM GALICIA TO BROOKLANDS – MANITOBA, CANADA
Presentation by
Stuart Fedak
The next step in eastern European genealogy after confirming your ancestral village(s) is to target your search. Professional genealogists; the internet; user groups; and Facebook open up many sources for non-traditional information. Sometimes the best resource can be boots on the ground. In this presentation Stuart Fedak will demonstrate how confirming the ancestral village(s) quickly opened up traditional and non-traditional sources of family and ancestral village history. Finally, he will lead you on a quick cultural trip to Ukraine with a visit to the ancestral village(s) of his grandparents.
